Welcome to the Livermore Scottish Country Dance Class
We are an affiliated class of the San Francisco Branch of the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society.

(As of Fall 2008 our website is under (slow!) construction.)

Scottish Country Dancing is lots of fun, and there are many social events hosted by the San Francisco Branch. The photos below are from the 2003 Asilomar Weekend Workshop.

In Livermore we offer Scottish Country Dance (SCD) classes two evenings each week.
New dancers are welcome to join us starting September 2008.

Mondays Fridays
This class is for adults, and older teens who are experienced with SCD. This is a social dancing class, but includes some time spent on developing the skills necessary to do Scottish Country Dancing well. This is our mixed adult/youth/family class. Younger dancers, including children dance in one room while adults dance in the other. From time to time we dance together.

This class is relatively informal. We mostly just dance dances, and we usually take requests.
The Monday class runs year round, with a few Mondays off for holidays. The Friday class runs roughly September through June, also with some Fridays off for holidays. During the summer the Friday schedule varies, depending on upcoming activities, such as the Pleasanton Highland Games.
